Look Good In Black
Lyrics by Benita Mae
Performed by Sarah Lloyde
I wrote the song “Look Good in Black” because I was tired of feeling like I was always the good girl. I wanted to write a bad girl song. I ain’t so innocent.
Look Good In black
I’ve tried so hard to be a good little girl
Trying to find my place in this world
But I’m tired of being something I’m not
I’m gonna make some trouble a lot
I act like an angel wings I’m ready to fly
You were fooled my almond eyes
But to tell you the truth
 I’m gonna raise the roof
Don’t look into my eyes, or you’ll realise
I’m not so sweet after all
I’m gonna break down the wall
You think I’m gonna be your friend
 But I don’t think so
Cos I’m bad till the end
I don’t mean to talk back
I just look good in black
I’ve tried so hard to be good but where’s the fun in that?
So I tried on a little black
 I can be nice
It just comes at a price.
I act like a princess with my sparkle crown
But when people tell me what to do I don’t wanna hear a sound
I think I’ll go have some fun with some boys
Treat them like their my toys
Chorus
It’s the colour of my heart, mind and soul
 I don’t care what I’m told
 Forgive and forget?
 You ain’t seen nothing yet
Chorus
